Travel and Getting There

Where is the retreat held?

The Gathering is held at Blue Spirit Retreat Center in Nosara, Costa Rica.

Which airport should I fly into?

Fly into Liberia International Airport (LIR) in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

If you're coming from Europe, you may find it easier to fly into San José. From there, you have two choices. You can make your own way directly to Blue Spirit, and you won't need to stop in Liberia at all. Or, if you'd like to be with everyone the night before, you can take a Sansa Airlines flight from San José to Liberia.

What date should I arrive?

Please arrive in Liberia on April 30. We all meet up there the night before, and that's where the retreat begins. If you're flying a long way to get here, this gives you a day to rest before we start.

Is the airport transfer included?

Yes. Your transfer from Liberia to Blue Spirit is included in your package. You'll need to arrange your own transport on the day you leave.

What date should I fly home?

Please book your flight home for May 8, 2027. You can leave at any time that day.

How long does it take to get to the airport on departure day?

Allow four and a half hours in total. The drive from Blue Spirit to Liberia International Airport takes about two and a half hours, and you'll need two hours for check-in.

Your Week at The Gathering

What is the daily schedule like?

The daily schedule is always a surprise, and that's part of what makes the week so much fun. This is your time to let go. I look after everything, so you don't need to think about what's happening next.

Will there be free time?

Yes. On the Wednesday, we'll have a session until lunchtime, and the rest of the day is yours.

Can I book massages or other treatments?

Yes. You can book massages and other treatments at Blue Spirit outside of our daily sessions.

Are meals included?

The meals are mostly plant-based. Fish is served at least once during the week, and no red meat is served.

Are there options for dietary requirements?

The meals are served as a buffet, so you can choose what suits your dietary requirements.

Your Phone and WiFi

Is there WiFi at Blue Spirit?

Yes, there's WiFi at Blue Spirit.

What should I do with my phone?

I do encourage you to put your phone away for the week. The people who do this tell me it's extraordinary.

If you choose to hand your phone in to me, I'll take care of it, and you don't need to worry about being out of reach. We have a phone number that's answered 24 hours a day, so anyone at home can contact you if there's ever an emergency.

If you decide to keep your phone, I ask that you keep it in your room. That means no phones at the sessions, no phones at meals and no phones at the beach. This gives all of us an incredible chance to reset our nervous systems away from our phones.

Practical Details

It's warm and tropical, and it's the start of the green season. You can expect some afternoon showers, so bring light, breathable clothing and a rain layer.
